Backed up Laron Profit as a freshman, started as a sophomore and shared the
small forward position with Byron Mouton as a junior on the team that went
to the final four. Miller did all the little things on the court, but
realizing that Dixon and Baxter were going to be the primary options,
decided to transfer to Notre Dame for the senior year and missed the
championship season. Danny's brother played at Delaware for Mike Brey, who
coached Miller at Notre Dame and was close to the family.
Miller's Maryland career highlights included hitting two big three pointers
late in the game as a freshman to help the Terps beat highly ranked Stanford
in the BB &T. As a sophomore he hit four three pointers in Maryland's upset
of Duke at Cameron. As a junior the Terps upset Duke again at Cameron, the
image of Miller blocking Shane Battier will long be remembered.
Danny Miller had a solid senior season at Notre Dame which went to the sweet
sixteen and defeated the Terps in the BB & T. He played with Matt Carroll,
Chris Thomas and Torin Francis at Notre Dame. Miller had a big game in
their round of 32 upset of Illinois.
