Bio:
Mike is the only player in Maryland history to play on
both a National Champion and ACC Championship team. Also, he was the only
freshman on the 2001-2002 national championship team. Grinnon was a good
shooter that worked hard in the weight room while at Maryland, but was
too slow footed to see major minutes. Mike's big moment was in the ACC
championship against Duke where due to foul trouble he played 10 minutes
and made two key free throws. As a senior, Grinnon got a little more
time, playing double figures minutes in three games, but did not have

"Mayor of College Park" and he worked in the athletic department for a
time after graduating with a degree in communications. Grinnon received
three straight Maryland Basketball Academic Awards.
